Acquisition of Arcor

Acquisition of Arcor Windows & Doors Inc.

Arcor Windows and Doors Inc. ("Arcor") is a Southern, Ontario-based manufacturer of custom sized vinyl windows, steel doors and patio doors suitable for the home renovation and new construction markets. Arcor effectively competes in the market place by offering a diverse product line.

AluminArt Products Inc. ("AluminArt") is a leading manufacturer of storm doors primarily for the renovation market. Products are sold through big box retailers. AluminArt's head office is located in Brampton, Ontario with production facilities located in Brampton and Kelowna, British Columbia.

Arcor was identified as being an ideal fit for AluminArt. Spara Capital Partners arranged and negotiated the acquisition of Arcor on behalf of AluminArt. This is the second transaction that Spara has done for AluminArt, and Spara maintains an ongoing advisory relationship with this important client.

ACA Groep (B.V.) Netherlands

The team from Spara Capital Partners Inc. arranged and negotiated for the acquisition of Premis Systems Canada, Incorporated of Markham, Ontario from Premis Corporation, a Minneapolis, Minnesota based company traded publicly on the NASDAQ.  Premis Systems Canada, Incorporated owns and develops the Open Enterprise Software System which is currently used by several leading North American fashion retailers.

ACA has been developing and supplying point-of-sale sofware primarily to the retail fashion industry.  The acquisition of Premis provides ACA with new technologies and the expertise required for expansion in the North American and world markets.

 
Acquisition of Marsh Engineering

Acquisition of Marsh Engineering

Marsh Engineering provides critical repair and rework, instrumentation and calibration in industrial and marine applications.  The company has operating plants in Port Colborne and Burlington, Ontario and Dartmouth, Nova Scotia with greater than 200 management and staff in the organization.

The team from Spara Capital Partners Inc. arranged and negotiated on behalf of Daniel J. Russell Industrial Inc. and Canadian Babbitt Bearings Ltd. to acquire Marsh and its subsidiaries.
