Eric Waxman, Managing Director

Eric Waxman has been with Spara Capital since it's founding
in 2001, and has been involved in all aspects of the development
of business, initially as an employee and more recently as a
shareholder. Eric possesses a combination of
entrepreneurial/family business background, professional
training, and extensive M&A experience that he is able to
translate into a "common sense" advisory approach to assist
'Main Street' entrepreneurs in dealing with growth, finance,
liquidity or turnaround situations.
Eric has extensive experience, successfully completing
transactions in a variety of industries. His focus and
experience includes business succession or sale, management
buy-outs, mergers and acquisitions, raising capital and
financial restructuring. Via Spara Merchant Capital Corp,
Eric is an active investor in entrepreneurial Canadian
companies. In addition, he holds the position of interim
CFO of an investee company of Spara Merchant Capital Corp.
Eric has strong contacts in the private equity, debt and capital
markets.
Prior to joining Spara, Eric held positions with TL Corporate
Finance and Kingsway Financial. He also gained experience
working many years within his family's businesses. Eric
holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario
and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York
University.
