Jason founded Spara Capital Partners in 2001 to provide the
"Main Street" entrepreneur with professional,
"service-first", transactional and capital advice.
The foundation for this vision stems from multiple
generations of family business operations and is supported
by a Chartered Accountant designation, with work focused
primarily on owner-managed enterprise.
Jason has specific expertise in raising capital, the
succession or sale of privately owned businesses, management
buy-outs, and turnarounds. He is the founder and former Managing
Director of TL Corporate Finance Inc. and has held positions
with PwC and BDO Dunwoody.
Jason served as the President of the Association of Corporate
Growth, Toronto Chapter from 2000 - 2005, founded and is the
co-Chair of the annual Capital Connection, Canada's Premier
Private Equity Showcase, and continues to sit on its Board of
Directors. Jason is often quoted in the national business
media for his expertise on the Private Equity market.
Jason is a member of numerous public and private company
Boards of Directors and, via Spara Merchant Capital Corp is an
active investor in these and other Canadian corporations.
